Terms of Service

These terms govern purchases from Patio Shade Store, operated by Patio Shade Store, serving Pittsburgh, PA and surrounding counties. By placing an order you agree to them.

What you're buying

Custom-made motorized exterior solar shades (Zipscreen and Drop Shade systems), fabricated to your opening's measured dimensions, with professional installation included. Products are made to order and specific to your home.

Pricing and payment

  • The configurator shows your all-in price — product, motor, free measure, and installation. There are no additional mandatory fees.
  • Orders are paid in full at checkout via Stripe.
  • Your price is locked at order and never increases without your explicit approval (see the Refund & Cancellation Policy for measured-size adjustments).
  • Promotional discounts (e.g. seasonal codes) apply as displayed at checkout and cannot be applied retroactively.

The measure and installation process

  • After payment we schedule a free on-site measurement. Nothing is fabricated before this visit.
  • You approve the final measured dimensions before production begins.
  • Installation is performed by our team at the address you provide. You agree to provide reasonable access to the work area.
  • Typical order-to-install time is about 10 days; this is an estimate, not a guarantee, and can vary with weather and demand.

Warranty

Fabric: 10 years. Motors: 3 years. Hardware: lifetime of the shade. Coverage is transferable to a subsequent homeowner and covers defects in materials and workmanship — not damage from misuse, unattended operation in severe weather (retract shades in storms), or alterations by others.

Product expectations

  • Zipscreens run in sealed side channels; Drop Shades have open sides and small light gaps at the edges by design.
  • Fabric openness percentages describe the weave (view-through vs. block); on-screen colors are approximate.
  • Wind guidance: shades should be retracted during storms and sustained high winds.

Liability

To the extent permitted by Pennsylvania law, our liability is limited to the price paid for your order. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.
